"Never seen such a fantastic squad at West Ham"

Really?

Only been going since 2008 then?

The OP line up looked great.

Until I saw some of the others.

They all look great.

Never seen such a fantastic squad at West Ham.

Re: Your best team with every player fit
What a pleasure it is that for the first time in years we have genuine first choice alternatives to a best starting eleven. I cannot make up my mind about my first choice team but these would be my certain starters.

Adrian, Cresswell, Reid.

Noble, Kouyate.

Payet, Lanzini

Re: Your best team with every player fit
Not reading "too much" into it.

IMO, if we had to play Leicester City again tomorrow - and they are FAST - I would not play Noble, Colllins or Tomkins.

I'd definitely play Antonio, Byram and Enner/Sakho over Carroll - better pace. How the team is laid-out is not for me to say. I'm not a football manager.

Re: Your best team with every player fit
Think you're reading to much into it, the op i assume is just interested to see peoples opinions. Of course form, injury and opposition come into the thinking on a weekly basis but dont get to precious about it.

"Depends on the opposition"

Exactly. These decisions are why club managers are paid big salaries. Otherwise, may as well just chuck together top 11 OPTA stats performers. Football is more nuanced than that.

Yes but every player is never going to e fit anyway, so if we're dreaming for the point of this thread they may as well be fit and at their maximum form ;)

Re: Your best team with every player fit
But how far do you go back is the question? Apart from maybe the City game, Song hasn't played well for what must be a year or so. Granted Carroll was looking good before his latest injury, but as you know Sakho is rated like the new Van Basten on here. Carroll all day long for me though.

Re: Your best team with every player fit
If we're judging on the players at their peak, than surely on their best form Song and Carroll would get in the starting line up,

Song in front of Noble??

Not a chance.

Re: Your best team with every player fit
yes, you know you're doing well when you find it hard to leave players out. there's a few positions where id be happy with other players coming in. happy days

Re: Your best team with every player fit
Didn't notice that Miike had dropped Ginge - on current form he doesn't deserve that. I'm loving his dominant performances at the heart of the defense - I think he gives the whole team a lift. Long may it continue.

Depends on the opposition

Re: Your best team with every player fit
Agree with Miike. For me, Tomkins always looks uncomfortable at RB and doesn't offer enough going forward. Byram is the future in that position and looks like he is good enough for the present too. I'm torn between a more defensive line-up with Song AND Kouyate or a more attacking one with Antonio on for one of them. Either way, it's an exciting side and the strength of the bench is unbelievable. Jelavic might as well be off - he's not going to get another look-in barring an injury crisis.
